CoVid-19 and Vaccination Resources

Project Reality will remain open and committed to providing treatment services throughout the pandemic.  To ensure your safety, clinic procedures may change periodically.  Please check-in regularly with your counselor for changes in clinic hours, counseling requirements, and dosing.

In order to participate in treatment and receive medication, please follow the expectations below:

  • YOUR MASK MUST BE COVERING BOTH MOUTH AND NOSE at all times in and around the building.  When you approach the dosing station after your name has been called, you may remove your mask to take your medicine and then promptly return your mask so that it is covering both your mouth and nose.
  • NO VISITORS ALLOWED in the building or parking lot.  If you are unable to find alternate childcare arrangements, your children may accompany you but must remain at your side.  Children 2 and older must be wearing their masks.
  • Once on the property, ALLOW 6 FEET BETWEEN YOURSELF AND OTHER PATIENTS, including while in the parking lot.
  • COUNSELING is by phone until further notice.  All patients will be required to have a session to dose on Fridays.  Call to schedule phone sessions as needed.  We will check voicemail regularly and may be calling you from a blocked number.
  • Please phone us to CONFIRM YOUR CORRECT PHONE NUMBER and learn your counselor's extension.
  • IF YOU NEED A MEDICATION/MEDICAL EVALUATION WITH THE DOCTOR, please call your counselor.

Clinic Hours and Locations

If you need to communicate with your counselor outside of clinic hours, call our clinic to leave a voicemail.  If there is an emergency, call 911 or go to the nearest Emergency Department.

Please avoid direct contact with others outside of your household, wash hands frequently, and wear a mask.

IF YOU SUSPECT YOU HAVE COVID: notify your counselor BY PHONE so that we can arrange access to your medications in a timely and safe manner.  You will be asked to get tested at a University of Utah testing site.  If that is not possible, then testing at an IMC testing site is acceptable.

NO TRANSFERS & NO TRAVEL: Be aware that if you leave treatment, your return could be delayed.

CoVid-19 Vaccine Information

If not yet vaccinated, we recommend that you get a CoVid-19 vaccine as soon as possible. Please contact your doctor to discuss your specific health risks and concerns and to determine whether the vaccine is right for you.

Please also feel free to talk to your counselor about your concerns and questions. If requested, your counselor can arrange an appointment with a Project Reality medical provider.

Vaccine Facts:

  • CoVid-19 vaccines are safe and effective.
  • Pfizer has received FDA approval for its vaccine.
  • Millions of people in the United States have received COVID-19 vaccines under the most intense safety monitoring in U.S. history.
  • Serious or long-term side effects of the vaccine are rare.
  • Symptoms of CoVid-19 disease are more severe and last longer than side effects of the vaccine, and can be life-threatening.
